It was a life time dream to experience the city that never sleeps when I visited Las Vegas!
Las Vegas has multiple nicknames, but the two that most people have heard are Sin City and The City That Never Sleeps. This fascinating destination should be on everyone’s list of places to visit at least once during their lifetime, but the truth is, as soon as a person has been there once, they will want to return again and again in the future.
Las Vegas Strip
While the casinos are the main draw of Las Vegas, there are plenty of things for people to do away from the tables and slot machines. The Strip is a great place to experience it all, as it is a long road that is full of action and people. Visitors can spend time wandering in and out of the stores along The Strip, but they will want to make sure that they catch the free shows along the way.
The Fall of Atlantis can be found inside Caesar’s Palace, while the erupting volcano is located in front of The Mirage.
The Bellagio Las Vegas Water and Light Show
The famous Welcome sign marks the start of the Las Vegas Strip. Located on the median strip at 5100 Las Vegas Boulevard South.
Neon Boneyard Museum
Unfortunately, not every casino and iconic building in Las Vegas is still standing, but that doesn’t mean that anyone needs to lose out on that part of history. All the discarded neon signs from The Strip and other areas of Las Vegas can be found inside the three acres of the Neon Boneyard.Visitors can take a tour of the boneyard to see more than 150 neon signs including the Binion’s Horseshoe and the Golden Nugget. The ‘Restored Las Vegas Neon Signs Tour’ is a self-guided tour that can be viewed as public art and visited, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Museum tickets are $15 for locals and $23 for general admission.

A Piece of Australia
Speaking of the Golden Nugget, the current hotel and casino of the same name holds a true treasure, the Hand of Faith Gold Nugget. This gold nugget is the second largest still in existence, and ironically, it was found in a small Australian town and not Las Vegas. The Hand of Faith Gold Nugget weighs 61lbs – 27.2kgs and can be seen displayed near the lobby of the hotel.
Pee on the Berlin Wall | Urinal Art
There are many unusual items in Las Vegas, but one of the most unique would be the Berlin Wall urinal. This little gem can be found inside the men’s restroom at the Main Street Station Hotel and Casino. While the location may not seem fair to all the women out there that want to see a piece of history, no one needs to worry. There are security guards available to escort any females into the restroom, so that they can see it firsthand.
Everyone that visits Las Vegas will want to consider seeing The Strip from a different vantage point at some point during their time in the city, because it looks completely different from above. While the Eiffel Tower and the High Roller Observation Wheel are two great locations to see The Strip from up high, the experience is much better at the Top of the World restaurant at The Stratosphere. Dinner reservations a little before sunset is usually the best time for diners, as they will be able to see the surrounding area from 844 feet – 257 metres above The Strip in both daylight and after the lights turn on. The entire restaurant will rotate 360 degrees during the meal, so no diner will need to worry about missing any section of the city.
Hash House a Go Go is another fantastic restaurant in Las Vegas, and while there are a few to choose from, anyone staying on The Strip will want to venture into the one inside The LINQ. Hash House is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but most people prefer to dine there for breakfast. The freshly squeezed orange juice is amazing and popular items include the tractor driver combo, the sage fried chicken, and snickers pancakes.
Before leaving Las Vegas, everyone will want to visit Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat to watch the dolphins play and swim and watch the lions and tigers roam around. All the animals are beautiful, but the white lions demand the most attention due to their extraordinary beauty and size. Visitors can even choose to become a trainer for the day, paint or do yoga with the dolphins during their time there.
Las Vegas is quite the magical city with exciting adventures around every corner. Everyone will find something that they are interested in and will even quickly realize that there will never be enough time to check all the items off their list in just one visit.
